Abode is committed to safeguarding and protecting the privacy of its clients.

What Data Is Collected?
Abode will collect, but not be limited to, the following information via its website, through third party partners or within its premises, in order to offer the best level of care & service to its clients:

• To keep clients safe when attending Classes, Workshops / Special Events / Retreats.
• To contact clients when responding to questions or queries.
• To contact clients in relation to marketing Abode’s products or services.
• To send statements, invoices or payment reminders where necessary.
• To send email notifications. (Unless unsubscribed).
• To send marketing communications relating to Abode or carefully selected third parties of potential interest to clients. (Unless unsubscribed).
• When processing enquiries or complaints made by clients relating to Abode’s premises,
website or third party partners.
• To keep Abode’s website secure and prevent fraud.

Cookies are statistical data and do not identify any personal details. Clients have the right and ability to adjust the settings on their device to decline the use of cookies.
Storing Personal Data
Abode will only store clients personal information if it has clear consent to do so and all data will be stored securely.
Personal information will not be kept for longer than is necessary and only used in accordance to the purpose it was supplied for.
If requested by the client, personal information that Abode has stored relating to them, will be deleted within four weeks. Requests must be made in writing by email.
Personal information provided by clients is stored on secure (password and firewall protected) servers. Abode will take all reasonable, technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of the personal information of its clients.
Clients must also acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and Abode cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet by either parties.
Disclosing Client’s Information
Abode will not disclose client’s personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this privacy policy and in the circumstances detailed below:
• Abode may disclose client’s personal information to any of its employees, studio teachers, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers, or subcontractors as reasonably necessary.
• Abode may disclose client’s personal information in order to establish, exercise, or defend its legal rights.
• Abode may disclose client’s personal information where it is legally required to do so.
• Abode may disclose client’s personal information to further fraud protection and reduce the risk of fraud.

Abode may include links to third parties on its website and social media platforms. If so, this does not mean that Abode endorses or approves that third party’s privacy policy. Clients should review the privacy policy of any third parties before providing any personal data.
How can clients edit or delete their data?

If clients request a copy of the information that is held for them, or if they would like to make changes to the information that is held, Abode will:
• Provide all information free of charge, within 30 days of the request. However, if a request is deliberately speculative or excessive, Abode reserves the right to charge a fee of £50.00. Abode may also charge a fee if clients require further copies of the same information.
• Update its records when informed that a client’s details have changed.
• Observe the rights granted to clients under applicable privacy and data protection laws.
• Ensure that queries relating to privacy issues are promptly and transparently dealt with.
In the event that a response has not been received within 30 days clients have the right to contact The ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office).

Use of client’s personal data for marketing purposes
Abode may send marketing related communications to its clients if they have requested them or if they have signed up to its mailing list. Abode will only communicate with clients through the following channels if there is consent to do so: email, postal mail, social media platforms, text or direct messages.

Abode reserves the right to review and update its privacy policy at any moment.
